Financial Analyst

IFG US's client is looking to add a financial analyst to their team. This position involves analyzing financial trends, preparing reports, and collaborating with various departments to support informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This role is 100% remote, but would have preference for someone in the Illinois area and the salary is $65K - $80K.

Responsibilities:

• Update and maintain financial statements with actual figures.
• Ensure financial reports are accurate and complete by checking against source documents.
• Prepare and share financial reports with stakeholders on time.
• Analyze financial data to support forecasting and budgeting.
• Perform data processing tasks to keep information accurate.
• Create and manage financial models and spreadsheets for analysis.
• Resolve financial discrepancies by reviewing account information.
• Verify that financial records comply with accounting standards and company policies.
• Identify ways to improve financial reporting and data management processes.
• Implement best practices for data accuracy and reporting efficiency.
• Maintain detailed documentation of financial transactions and processes.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and internal controls.
• Collaborate with other finance team members and departments to gather necessary data.
• Support audits and respond to financial inquiries.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of professional experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role.
• Strong skills in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with data processing (ETL) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
