Financial Analyst

We are partnering with an organization based in Northern NJ seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst with expertise in Power BI and SQL to join their dynamic team.

Position Summary:

You will be responsible for analyzing financial data, creating reports, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. This role requires proficiency in Power BI and SQL to develop and maintain financial dashboards and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Analysis:
• Conduct detailed financial analysis and modeling to support business decisions.
• Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and document pertinent financial highlights that will enable management to determine progress against budgets.
• Develop financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses.
• Reporting and Dashboards:
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Create SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from various databases.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reporting and analysis.
• Data Management:
• Collect, organize, and interpret complex financial data from multiple sources.
• Maintain and update financial databases and systems.
• Ensure data quality and implement best practices in data governance.
• Strategic Support:
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
• Support senior management with ad hoc analysis and special projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, or a related field.
• Proven experience with Power BI and/or SQL is required.
• Skills:
• Strong proficiency in Power BI for creating reports and dashboards.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
