Our client, the leader in the audio streaming space has an immediate opening for a Program Manager to join the Finance and Business Integration team.

This position supports and can directly influence the launches of some of client's newest global business initiatives in the consumer products, digital initiatives, merchant, operations, logistics, payments, and cloud computing lines of business. This leader will work closely with the global financial systems team, accounting operations teams, tax, treasury, and others and represent the accounting organization to various stakeholders.

In this role, the candidate will be part of a team that collaborates with business finance and technical teams to deliver world class solutions that are highly scalable, secure, and flexible. This person will have be comfortable working in a fast-paced, global environment, managing through ambiguity and complexity, and demonstrate and ability to support multiple, simultaneous, project launches at any one time. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope business requirements and prioritize.

Successful candidates for this position will have a minimum of five years of professional experience working with financial processes, project management, accounting requirements documentation, process design, and user acceptance testing responsibilities. They will have developed a passion for delivering process improvement across the accounting organization. They are expected to have a deep sense of ownership, and the ability to identify process improvement opportunities, drive positive change across the organization, and enhance partnerships between Accounting and various business and IT groups. In addition, successful candidates are expected to have sufficient accounting experience to help the project launch team identify and incorporate the necessary financial reporting and internal control elements into the systems or tools that are developed to support new business activities

  • Job responsibilities will include:Develop an in-depth understanding of accounting and corporate finance
  • Support critical relationships with internal and external business partners
  • Deliver moderately complex medium to large scale projects from initiation through delivery
  • Gather requirements from appropriate process owners, writes clear and detailed functional specifications, prioritizes features and drives technical scoping as needed
  • Drive continuous process improvement by collaborating with stakeholders on design of new solutions that enhance business performance and achieve established goals
  • Ensure consistent and efficient execution of all functions across accounting by working closely with internal business partners and stakeholders to drive adoption and implementation of global standards, processes and programs
  • Identify and evaluate potential risks/obstacles with minimal direction. Determines appropriate corrective action
  • Basic qualificationsExperience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • Experience managing accounting process improvement and/or technology projects with aggressive schedules
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related financial field, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with Workday platform.
  • Preferred qualificationsMaster's degree or Accounting certification (CMA or CPA)
  • PMP Certification
  • Experience supporting accounting customers to set and effectively manage expectations, project deliverables, and drive resolution when conflicts or issues arise.
  • Experience in accounting projects, including requirement gathering and testing in environments with distributed systems
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment similar to a high-tech start-up
  • Proven ability to influence and make an impact
  • Excellent analytical skills
