Financial Controller, Asset Manager

Title: Financial Controller

Reporting to: CFO

Direct Reports: 4-5

Overview:

As a Controller, you will oversee financial management and reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and internal policies. This role reports directly to the CFO and Partners, and will involve various responsibilities, including preparation of financial statements, general accounting tasks (reconciliations, journal entries, income reporting, GL management, payroll initiation), budgeting/forecasting, treasury support (wire/ACH preparation, daily liquidity assessment, distribution tracking), tax oversight, etc.

• Managing the financial reporting processes, including the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements
• Develop and monitor budgets, analyzing variances and providing recommendations for improvement
• Conducting financial analysis and modeling to support business decisions and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
• Overseeing the coordination of external audit and tax provider
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including cash flow reconciliation and bank account balances
• Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations

Requirements:

• 7 - 15 years of Accounting experience within a financial services firm
• CPA Licensed
• Experience overseeing third party providers - audit, tax, etc.
