Financial Controller

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking to fill a Controller role located east of Greensboro, North Carolina with a fast-growing international corporation. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years accounting & reporting experience, including previous leadership. The Director of Accounting will manage the day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting within the organization and help build out a finance team to support a corporation in a high growth mode. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure all financial reporting adheres to GAAP and IFRS standards.
• Direct the closing processes, while overseeing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger operations.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures that align with organizational goals.
• Implement and maintain strong internal control systems to protect company assets and ensure the reliability of financial data.
• Manage and coordinate external audits, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and reporting obligations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team across all company locations, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Oversee the management of financial systems, driving continuous improvement and integration with other business systems.
• Work collaboratively across departments to gather necessary data, ensuring financial commitments are accurately reflected in the company’s accounting records.

Qualifications Desired:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. (Master’s degree or CPA is preferred).
• A minimum of 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
• Proficiency in financial software and systems, particularly ERP platforms.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop teams effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record of driving process improvements and automation initiatives
