Financial Controller

We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our team in the US. As a Financial Controller, your main focus will be to oversee the accounting for our operations in the USA and Mexico, reporting to the Global Head of Business Partnering and working closely with the group finance team. You will have overall responsibility for the running of the finance function in the Americas and reporting performance to group. You will also be responsible for local statutory filings.

This role is a perfect fit for someone who is organized, likes to get things done and gets energy from helping others. A successful Finance Controller will be focused on producing accurate timely financial information and ensuring the appropriate level of governance is being applied. You should have experience from a previous Accounting or Auditor role but, at Roboyo, people are everything and it is just as important to have the right attitude.

Within this role, your responsibilities and tasks will include:

• Being responsible for the operational execution of the accounting in the USA and Mexico
• Leading the preparation of monthly financial statements for submission to group and preparing the annual financial statements in accordance with group timetables and standards
• Overseeing the day to day running of the finance function including AR, AP and Banking
• Ensuring the balance sheet is accurately closed each month and fully reconciled
• Ensuring the business is compliant with all filing and statutory matters
• Ensuring the migration from external bookkeeping to internal using group finance software
• Supporting payroll accounting
• Being the point of contact for auditors and tax advisors
• Bringing financial insight and reporting to country leaders
• Other ad hoc tasks to support other members of the Global Finance & Operations team

Experience and skills that you can use at Roboyo:

• CPA or equivalent
• You think analytically and have a very good understanding of numbers
• Can lead change
• You are familiar with MS Office applications, especially Excel
• Understand global accounting standards
• You work independently, structured and goal-oriented
• Work to deadlines
• You are proactive and can work with different stakeholders to achieve business objectives
• You are willing to be directly involved in key operations to progress the US Finance team
• Previous experience with Dynamics 365 is of great value
• Fluent in English, Spanish is a plus
