What You Will Be Doing

  • Oversee financial management of Surface Optics’ operations.
  • Ensure financial strategies align with company goals and drive sustainable growth.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies that support overall business goals.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the executive and leadership teams based on financial analysis and projections.
  • Lead the complete financial reporting processes including internal and external reporting, allocations, GAAP accounting, month-end close, FP&A planning and forecasting, and financial controls.
  • Ensure SOC’s books and records are in compliance with GAAP, local, state, and federal laws.
  • Assist with preparing and monitoring departmental budgets and metrics.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide insights to the executive and leadership teams.
  • Manage financial risks.
  • Streamline and improve financial processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.
  • Communicate financial performance and strategy to stakeholders, including the board of directors, investors, and employees.
  • Collaborate closely with senior management to ensure the organization's financial health and facilitate informed decision-making.

Experience You Will Need

  • B.S. degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
  • Experience in a senior financial leadership role.
  • Experience developing and monitoring budgets for small and mid-sized companies.
  • Experience leading the complete financial reporting processes including internal and external reporting, allocations, GAAP accounting, month-end close, FP&A planning and forecasting, and financial controls.
  • Excellent computer and technical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • M.S. degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field (desired but not required).
  • CPA certification (desired but not required).
