- Oversee financial management of Surface Optics’ operations.
- Ensure financial strategies align with company goals and drive sustainable growth.
- Develop and implement financial strategies that support overall business goals.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the executive and leadership teams based on financial analysis and projections.
- Lead the complete financial reporting processes including internal and external reporting, allocations, GAAP accounting, month-end close, FP&A planning and forecasting, and financial controls.
- Ensure SOC’s books and records are in compliance with GAAP, local, state, and federal laws.
- Assist with preparing and monitoring departmental budgets and metrics.
- Monitor financial performance and provide insights to the executive and leadership teams.
- Manage financial risks.
- Streamline and improve financial processes and systems.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.
- Communicate financial performance and strategy to stakeholders, including the board of directors, investors, and employees.
- Collaborate closely with senior management to ensure the organization's financial health and facilitate informed decision-making.
- B.S. degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
- Experience in a senior financial leadership role.
- Experience developing and monitoring budgets for small and mid-sized companies.
- Experience leading the complete financial reporting processes including internal and external reporting, allocations, GAAP accounting, month-end close, FP&A planning and forecasting, and financial controls.
- Excellent computer and technical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- M.S. degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field (desired but not required).
- CPA certification (desired but not required).
