Position Overview: We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Financial Paraplanner to join our team. The Financial Paraplanner will work closely with Financial Advisors to support comprehensive financial planning for clients. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial planning software, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to clients.
Roles And Responsibilities
Financial Planning Support:
Assist Financial Advisors in preparing and analyzing comprehensive financial plans based on client goals, objectives, and financial situations.
Conduct research and analysis on investment options, insurance products, tax strategies, and estate planning.
Client Relationship Management:
Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding financial planning inquiries and updates.
Schedule client meetings and prepare meeting materials, including financial reports and plan reviews.
Ensure timely and accurate communication with clients regarding their financial plans and investment strategies.
Data Gathering and Analysis:
Collect and organize client financial data, including income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and investment holdings.
Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and other relevant documents to assess client financial situations and needs.
Financial Plan Development:
Prepare financial planning recommendations and strategies based on client goals, risk tolerance, and time horizon.
Utilize financial planning software to generate projections, scenario analysis, and retirement planning models.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies in the development and implementation of financial plans.
Maintain accurate and updated client files, documentation, and records related to financial planning activities.
Collaboration and Support:
Collaborate with Financial Advisors, Portfolio Managers, and other team members to deliver integrated wealth management solutions.
Assist in preparing presentations and proposals for client meetings and new business opportunities.
Skills And Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field. Certification or coursework in financial planning (e.g., CFP) is preferred.
2-3 years of experience in financial planning, paraplanning, or a related role within the financial services industry.
Proficiency in financial planning software (e.g., eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, NaviPlan) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information and perform scenario analysis.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of investment products, insurance, retirement planning, and tax strategies.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in all client interactions.
