Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Foreman/Carpenter to oversee the construction of multi-family and commercial housing redevelopment projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of carpenters, managing the project timeline, and ensuring the highest quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the construction site
• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of carpenters
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure project timeline and budget are on track
• Read and interpret blueprints and building specifications
• Install and repair drywall using hand and power tools
• Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard
• Ensure that the highest quality workmanship is maintained throughout the project
• Adhere to safety standards and regulations
  
  

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Foreman/Carpenter
• Experience in multi-family and commercial housing redevelopment projects
• Expertise in drywall installation and repair
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and building specifications
• Knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations
• Experience with hand and power tools
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent, and relevant trade certification
