, Job Description

Forklift Operators are responsible to load and unload trailers. 95% of your time is spent on the forklift working with a team of other operators in an open, cross dock environment.

Hours: 1:00am-9:00am, Tuesday-Saturday

Start wage: $20/hr

• Safe Forklift Operation:Operate sit down safely and efficiently to move, stack, and load/unload materials, ensuring the safety of yourself and others at all times.
• Inventory Management:Keep accurate records of materials and products handled, making note of quantities, locations, and any damages or discrepancies.
• Loading and Unloading:Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets with precision, ensuring that goods are properly secured to prevent damage during transportation.
• Dock Management:Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the dock area, including removing debris and obstructions, and ensuring clear pathways for equipment and personnel.
• Quality Control:Inspect inbound and outbound shipments for any visible damage, report discrepancies, and work with the team to resolve issues.
• Safety Compliance:Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations and participate in safety training.
• Equipment Maintenance:Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts, report any defects or issues, and help with recharging batteries or changing propane tanks.
  
  

, Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year experience operating a forklift.
• Forklift certification per OSHA standards.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills.
