Formulation Chemist

Responsibilities:

• Develop new innovative products and improve existing formulas.
• Conduct market research and evaluate similar products and their functions.
• Accurately maintain R&D project records, using current Good Documentation Practices.
• Regularly collaborate with Compounding, Quality Control, Sales, Regulatory, and other teams.
• Manage/source raw materials and maintain supplier relationships.
• Review previous and current formulas and processes to streamline scale-up.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Biology, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of progressively responsible experience in R&D.
• 2-3 years of experience with cGMP in FDA or similarly regulated industry.
• Preferred 1+ year of experience with Personal Care/Cosmetic Contract Manufacturing, OTC, Drug-Cosmetic, Dietary or similar FDA regulated industry.

Required Skills:

• Strong time management, planning and analytical skills.
• Strong computer usage skills (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Understanding and knowledge of current FDA and EPA regulations.
• Familiarity with ERP systems/Formulation Software.
• Ability to learn our business, be a team player and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong problem solving/decision-making skills, interpersonal skills, and analytical capabilities.
• Demonstrated work ethic, integrity, and professional conduct.
