Formulation Chemist

Insight Global is looking for a Formulation Chemist to join the research group for one of our pharmaceutical clients in Bridgewater, NJ. This person will focus on targeted non-viral formulation development for RNA/gene-based therapies. Responsibilities include synthesizing, developing, and characterizing nanoparticle-based formulations through various techniques. Additionally, data processing and analysis through excel will be required. The ideal candidate for this role will have hands on experience with the above-mentioned formulation and development, possess a high degree of organization, and have strong verbal and written communication skills. This position will start as a 6 month contract and sits 5 days a week in Bridgewater, NJ. (See detailed responsibilities below)

• Formulate and characterize lipid nanoparticles for platform build and project support
• Design and execute formulation trials, analytical testing and evaluate stability data to finalize formulation composition for RNA/gene-based therapies
• Synthesize and develop nanoparticle-based formulations for various therapeutic areas
• Characterize nanoparticle-based formulation with analytical method, bio-assays, molecular biology methods, spectroscopy, etc.
• Design, synthesis and purification of protein bioconjugates, including monoclonal antibody and peptide bioconjugation, and dye conjugation
• Characterize and evaluate bioconjugates, including physiochemical properties, stability, conjugation efficiency, binding ability, etc.
• Perform data and statistical analyses using Excel and GraphPad Prism
• Maintain accurate, detailed and timely records in electronic notebooks and generate internal technical reports as needed
• Summarize experimental results and present findings at internal meetings
• Ensure proper maintenance of laboratory equipment
• Excellent scientific presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills and can work effectively in a team environment
