About the Role:
English <> American Sign Language
Service: Onsite Simultaneous Interpretation
Date: TBD ongoing assignments (approx. 10/month)
Location: Washignton, USA
Subject matter: Medical appointments
Interested candidates must meet at least one of the following requirements:
2 years of sign language interpretation experience and a college degree in Interpreting, Deaf Studies and other fields.
5 years of sign language interpretation experience and no college degree.
At least one of the following national certifications by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID):
o NIC
o NIC Advanced
o NIC Master
o CT
o CI
o NAD III
o NAD IV
o NAD V
A certificate of competence in sign language interpretation awarded by an appropriate government body (court state certification, federal certification, etc.).
