Freelance Proofreader/Editor (Remote)

Compensation Range: $30 - 35 per hour

We are looking for an experienced Proofreader/Editor for our client, a global company dedicated to advancing innovative solutions that help people live healthier lives!

As a Proofreader/Editor, you will proofread, edit, and provide copy suggestions on all Studio projects including but not limited to print, digital/web, and writing projects. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, an excellent command of the English language, and a passion for maintaining high-quality content.

This will be a fully remote, ongoing freelance opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Verify accuracy of references, web addresses, phone numbers, citations, footnotes, and other critical details.
• Ensure compliance with brand guidelines and consistency in layout components such as spacing, capitalization, and punctuation.
• Confirm all annotations are clear before submission into Veeva and fully addressed following medical, legal, and regulatory review.
• Enhance content flow and readability.
• Provide final sign-off for proofreading projects prior to client release and PRC (MLR) submission.
• Adhere to Studio standard operating procedures and workflows.
• Offer primary support for assigned brands and back-up support for the team in line with the Editorial service level agreement (SLA).
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to meet business objectives.
• Suggest improvements for processes and standards as needed.
• Perform general content quality assurance.
• Justify and clearly communicate the reasoning behind edits and markups
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Experience level: Experienced
• BA in Communications, Journalism, or English (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years general editorial experience, with at least 2 years in medical, pharmaceutical, or advertising industry preferred.
• Proficient in AMA style.
• Proficient with Adobe Acrobat.
• Corporate or in-house advertising agency experience.
• Project Management tool experience.
• Ability to manage projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
