JBird Logistics is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Remote Freight Broker Agents. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating freight transactions between clients and carriers. As a commission-based position, you will earn a competitive 50% flat rate commission on all successfully brokered shipments.
**Responsibilities:**
- Prospect and establish relationships with shippers and carriers to secure freight opportunities.
- Negotiate rates and terms with clients and carriers to maximize profitability.
- Coordinate logistics and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the shipping process.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for each transaction.
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience as a freight broker or in a similar sales role preferred.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Proficiency in using freight brokerage software and tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics or sales is a plus.
