This role will be hybrid or remote only candidates within our approved states will be considered and a preference will be given to Austin Based candidates.

This role is remote however we are seeking candidates in the Eastern or Central Time Zone and located in one of the following states.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE:

Boostlingo is looking for a Front-End Engineer to join our talented engineering team. As the Front End Engineer, you will work closely with engineering, DevOps and product teams to help define and improve how we build, test, and ship our products. You must be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment, and must be able to prioritize, multi-task, and manage your workload while providing guidance to other team members.

WHAT WILL BE EXPECTED OF THIS ROLE

• Write, test, and maintain code for software applications, features, and modules.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver solutions.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, identify issues, and suggest improvements.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and documentation.
• Investigate and resolve software defects and issues reported by QA or end-users.
• Analyze and fix bugs efficiently and effectively.
• Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage and track changes in code.
• Collaborate with team members through Slack
• Adhere to security protocols and guidelines to protect the software and user data.
• Stay informed about potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
  
  

Requirements and Development Skills:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a front end developer on scalable web applications in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with modern Javascript frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue, etc
• Experience with UI frameworks such as Angular Material, Bootstrap, Tailwind, SemanticUI, etc
• Proficient in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Knowledge of CSS preprocessor such as SASS or Less
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with state management libraries such as NgRx, Redux, Mobx
• Deep knowledge of Rxjs
• Responsive design

• Bachelor or Masters Degree, substantial professional experience (at least 5 years) in web programming
• Experience working in an agile/Scrum environment
• Comfortable working with remote team and thriving in a distributed work environment
• Working in a development team of more than five individuals
• Working on live web applications that businesses rely upon
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while being able to maintain a high-quality bar
• Desire and willingness to learn new technology and tools
• Be results-oriented with strong independent time management skills
