Job Summary

The Front End Software Engineer is responsible for delivering functional and appealing user interfaces and applications for our customers and clients to sell tickets and other inventory. This position collaborates with the front end team to deliver on our product roadmap in both consumer and admin contexts and is integral to the maintenance, innovation, and continuous improvement of our web software. This role operates in an agile environment, actively participating in sprints to deliver product roadmap features, and will work closely with our Product team to plan, prioritize, and deliver features on a regular cadence. This position reports directly to the Lead Front End Software Engineer.

This position is full-time and fully remote.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Create new user interfaces, user experiences and product features.
  • Maintain existing user interfaces (bug fixes, refactor exercises, code optimization).
  • Convert Figma designs into functional user interfaces.
  • Write automated tests (end-to-end and unit/component) to test your deliverables.
  • Create pull requests for peer review.
  • Participate in peer review of team member’s code.
  • Collaborate with back end engineers to design & deliver APIs.
  • Document and maintain tickets with clear and concise information.
  • Contribute to technical ceremonies/meetings such as Sprint Grooming, Retrospectives and provide feedback to our Product Team.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years front end engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in web programming languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Proficiency in version control software such as Git.
  • Understanding of Core Web Vitals.
  • Understanding of SEO Principles.
  • Understanding of Web Accessibility Standards.
  • Understanding of Responsive Web Design.
  • Experience working with APIs.
  • Experience in converting designs into functional user interfaces.
  • Experience in testing and debugging websites.
  • Familiarity with software like Github & Figma.

Desirable Requirements

  • Previous experience with Vue or alternative JavaScript framework is a bonus, but not required.
  • Previous experience with End-To-End & Unit/Component testing is a bonus, but not required.
