Fully Remote Family Office Tax Director (Music Industry)

A fast-growing Family Office with a specialization in the Music Industry, is looking for a Fully Remote Head of Tax / Tax Director. They are bringing their tax function in-house and are looking for the right leader to join the team. This role will be Fully Remote indefinitely. This role is a great fit for those of you working in public accounting, business management, or family office who want a better work life balance, more autonomy, and an opportunity to grow a tax department from the ground up.

• You will be tasked with managing the tax client roster (HNW musicians and their businesses) along with growing and building the interal team and function.
• Key responsibilities include tax planning, research, consulting, advising, compliance, estimates, and projections.
• You will sign off on all tax returns.
• You will choose the tax software you want to use and implement.
• Responsible for 50-75 tax returns per year.
• You will work 40-50 hours per week the entire year. This is not a heavy OT role. This role is focused more on quality service rather than quantity and high-volume.
• Experience with California clients and tax law is very important.
• You will report to the CEO and will be a trusted member of the Executive Team.
• A CPA, LLM in Tax, and/or MST is required.
