Fund Controller

A real estate asset management firm is hiring due to growth! This firm has been around for over 25 years handling middle market transactions ranging from $10 million to $1 billion in industrial, hotel, office, and residential sectors. The firm as assets in 15+ states and offices in Greenwich, Chicago, Arlington, and Austin.

The fund controller will handle the newest fund. You will work on the new fund and support asset managers by tracking cash flow, waterfall distribution, track gains from pooled investments allocated between investors, and valuations.

Title: Fund Controller

Location: Greenwich, CT (4 days onsite)

Salary: $110,000 to $130,000+ Bonus

Responsibilities:

• Drive the annual valuation reporting process
• Manage the portfolio companies, manage financials
• Calculate waterfalls, financial statement + financial health performance
• Records the journal entries for management fees, investments, accruals, other expense/income, valuation adjustments and bank reconciliations and other fund accounting
• Assist in and perform valuations of investments including working with models
• Portfolio Company fund accounting as needed with interests in manufacturing, finance, and other industries
• Working on our controlled company investments
• Data analysis needed for corporate accounting team (including Economic Net Income models, budget, AUM, etc.)
• Generate custom client reporting, including but not limited to weekly fund performance estimates.
• Review financial statements from operating companies and monitor compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
• 6+ years in REIT, PE Fund Accounting
• Experience working at a big 4 public accounting firm is highly desirable
• Experience with MS Suite
• Yardi Voyager is preferred
