General Manager


Coral Care, a startup dedicated to transforming in-home pediatric specialty care, is hiring a General Manager to join our team! This role will enable the launch, development and growth of our core business. The primary focus of this function is to oversee a team of activation specialists, account managers, customer success and support specialists as they seek to create a seamless experience for patients and providers. The ideal candidate is excited to work in a fast-growing start-up, loves working with customers, has experience building and scaling sales teams and is eager to make a real impact in the healthcare industry. We are looking for candidates with a background in sales, account management, and/or customer success who have managed direct reports in previous roles. 


This is a W2, remote and full-time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of sales reps, account managers, customer success, and customer support agents to ensure each team member is productive and meets goals and expectations. 
  • Own the P&L for a market and/or region for Coral Care’s core business services.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Product teams to constantly iterate and provide feedback for lead generation and conversion strategies, tests, and campaigns.
  • Manage the retention and churn funnels to and provide strategic support for team members to ensure KPIs are met and Coral Care's core businesses grow in a scalable manner.
  • Work with leadership to provide data and insights into conversion and retention funnels across each relevant team to provide a clear understanding of the health and state of the business. 
  • Provide actionable strategies to teams and leadership to address any opportunities or challenges in order to enable the growth and health of the business.
  • Ensure tight feedback and alignment between teams, customers, and Product to ensure that customer needs are met and technology roadmap is informed by data-driven insights from key users. 
  • Coach and incentivize team members to hit their goals and KPIs to ensure professional and company growth. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address customer concerns, highlight technological bugs, and ensure issue resolution.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our operations.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in sales, account management, or customer success roles with a proven track record in pipeline management.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing direct reports. 
  • A strong sales-oriented skill set, including: persuasion, objection handling, motivation, and urgency-creation. 
  • Comfortable working with customers to manage issues and able to think-on-your-feet to resolve problems in a timely manner. 
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and adapt quickly to changing priorities and environments.
  • Strong self-management skills and the ability to work independently towards set goals.
  • A results-oriented mindset with a focus on leveraging data to drive decision-making.
  • Technology-savvy and able to use multiple different softwares and tools with minimal training and guidance.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in pediatric care or related fields.
  • Prior experience working in a startup or fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience with families or providers in the pediatric specialty services field.
