General Manager

A dynamic heavy equipment manufacturing organization, currently in the exciting phase of embracing automation to enhance their manufacturing facility are seeking an ambitious General Manager who will oversee all site operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and effective processes along with leading the commercial team to drive revenue growth and expand customer base.

Responsibilities of the General Manager

• Collaborate with Operations Manager and team to determine optimal strategy.
• Ensure production efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
• Drive labor efficiencies to maximize productivity and minimize costs
• Collaborate with Sales and Finance to establish effective S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning)
• Lead the engineering team, overseeing all new product introductions and design activities while maintaining and supporting the existing product portfolio.
• Identify and implement cost effective design and technology alternatives to maximize profitability and to stay ahead of market needs.
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients and distributors worldwide
• Attend industry events and trade shows to promote brand products and services
• Ensure the business provides precise and timely financial reporting, covering pricing, forecasting, S&OP planning, and various organization-specific metrics.

Requirements of the General Manager

• Degree Qualified – preferable in engineering.
• Strong technical and commercial experience.
• Proven track record in product design with market expertise in the Heavy Equipment industry. Previous experience with conveyors is preferred
• Ability to translate market need into a sellable product.
