Job Description

The Alternative Markets Group (“AMG”) Distribution team is a centralized syndication and structuring function across secured lending products in the Global Banking and Markets division. We work closely with lending teams and partners across divisions to drive accretive risk distribution solutions across a range of structures, including syndicated, cash, synthetic, and structured solutions. We build and maintain strong relationships with potential risk partners including insurance companies, asset managers, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and banks. Asset types include, but are not limited to Fund Finance, (including Capital Call, Private Credit and NAV Facilities), Residential Real Estate financings (including Mortgage Servicing Rights, Single Family Rental Facilities, and Whole Loan syndications), and Real Assets such as fiber, digital infrastructure and music royalties. We seek to combine our deep understanding of each asset class and up-to-date market color with the team’s broad relationships with investors to find optimal solutions for our clients and the firm.

This role will entail working closely with senior members of the team on all aspects of the business, including:

  • Understanding the range of secured lending products – securitization, secured loans, repurchase agreements, derivatives – and their capital, legal, accounting, and risk implications for the firm and potential syndication partners
  • Developing written communication materials – business plans, pitchbooks, term sheets, investment memos, and other key materials required to market and execute transactions
  • Developing relationships with internal constituents including sales, trading, investment banking, structuring, credit risk, and operations
  • Building and maintaining the desk’s relationships with potential syndication partners across markets
  • Constructing models that support trade analysis

Basic Qualifications

  • Two+ years of finance experience, preferably in structured finance
  • SIE, Series 7 Top-Off and Series 63Registration preferred
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative background as well as deep interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Self-motivated with a strong intellect and an ability to learn about a diverse range of FICC products and understand client issues
  • Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail and a proven ability to multi-task in a very fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to connect with a diverse range of people
  • Basic accounting skills and background in analyzing financial statements
  • Experience with FICC products focused on structured products preferred
  • Excel-based financial modeling experience, with a demonstrated ability to build basic corporate and/or securitization models

Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150000-$225000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
