The Senior Director, Head HR Americas & SGRM leads the people strategy for the Americas / SGRM. He/she acts as a strategic HRBP to the Commercial leadership team as well as a strategic global HRBP for SGRM (Strategic Growth Revenue Management) department.

The candidate equips and guides the respective leaders and organizations to meet the business aspirations in capability and capacity, meeting or exceeding statutory and Lonza standards and working towards making Lonza an “employer of choice”. The incumbent is part of the RBU Americas LT, the SGRM LT as well as the HR CHI LT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide HR leadership; coaching, consultation and guidance for all people related matters to the Leadership teams: RBU Americas & Global SGRM
  • Drive the respective strategic people agendas
  • Build organizational capability with respective organizations
  • Coach and support line managers on current and future plans to design their respective organizations and put in place change management plans to achieve business objectives
  • Drive with the line Managers the building of talent pipelines within respective business areas.
  • Build performance oriented culture through appropriate change management initiatives
  • Contribute actively to the implementation of the global HR CHI strategy by driving respective initiatives

Key Requirements

  • Higher education (e.g. Master Degree or equivalent) in relevant field of study- Business school, labour legislation, human resources, labour psychology; background in labour legislation and HR projects required
  • Advanced level of Experience as senior HRBP with strong knowledge of HR processes
  • Experience of working in corporate matrix structure in multinational environment
  • Experience in manufacturing industry (consumer products: food, pharma & healthcare,), in fast changing environments
  • Experience with local legislation for US, Mexico, Brazil (and any additional country in Americas is beneficial)
  • 15 years' experience in human resources functions with senior experience as HRBP
  • Experience in industrial environments, ideally in manufacturing industry
  • Experience in international groups with a matrix structure
  • Experience with HR Operating model (outsource payroll / RPO /HRS)
  • Practical experience in industrial relations
