A unique opportunity to join a powerhouse team at one of the nation's premier litigation firms. Williams & Connolly is seeking an exceptional and dynamic Graphic Designer who thrives in a confidential and fast-paced environment, to support a range of projects with a focus on graphic design. This position works collaboratively with attorneys, business development & marketing department colleagues, and various other departments within the firm to provide support on a variety of graphic design projects, such as websites, advertising, posters, trial materials, presentations, exhibitions and displays, firm communications and branding.

The position requires a high level of organization and attention to detail, creativity, the ability to keep abreast of a heavy schedule, and to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.


Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Director of Business Development & Marketing and the Creative, Visual, and Brand Design Manager, the primary responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as a graphic designer for Williams & Connolly and ensure all materials consistently adhere to brand standards. Materials include, but are not limited to, firm communications and branding, social media graphics, event invitations, digital and printed collateral, firm website, PowerPoint presentations, advertisements, email campaigns, and holiday messaging;
  • Work with internal and external clients on graphics ideas and solutions to meet the business objectives and requirements of the job;
  • Design and maintain print and digital branded material including, alerts and newsletters, brochures, advertisements, invitations, and digital imagery;
  • Support the production and editing of multimedia including video, webinars, and podcasts;
  • Coordinate and manage creative requests from initial request through completion;
  • Assist in the creation of presentation materials in PowerPoint;
  • Ensure brand integrity through the adherence of Style Guide standards;
  • Support website projects through content and imagery additions and maintenance;
  • Retouch and size photography and images;
  • Create and maintain design templates for reusable creative pieces such as invitations and newsletters;
  • Obtain and manage photo rights for rights-managed imagery;
  • Supports special projects and firm initiatives as required by management; and
  • Collaborate with clients and take art direction from management in an effort to create engaging designs for print and digital.


Knowledge/Experience

Experience adhering and referring to a recognized style guide. Experience in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat. Knowledge of basic video editing. Minimum 2 years' experience in graphic design. Professional services experience a plus.

Skills

The position requires strong design, communication, writing and editing skills. The ability to coordinate multiple projects and handle tight deadlines is imperative. Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively. Ability to write basic ad copy and headlines. Experience in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent interpersonal relations, oral and written communication skills required. Strong customer service attitude. Must be self-motivated and independent; able to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to prioritize, organize, and meet tight deadlines.


The working hours for this position are 9:00 am - 5:30 pm. After successfully completing the introductory period, the candidate will be eligible to work the department's approved hybrid schedule. The ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs. is required.


The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000. The final offer amount is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, years of experience, education, and other relevant skills and qualifications.
