Adams Publishing Group is seeking a skilled newspaper page designer who has the ability to perform quickly and bring stories alive in print. Proficiency with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop is a must, and a background in journalism, particularly with AP wire editing and the BLOX content management system is a bonus.
We are looking for someone who can handle the design of our larger papers in addition to helping create content to be shared in all of our publications. Being versatile is required to be able to work on any of our 150-plus titles and one must possess strong communication skills to converse with editors over an instant messaging system. APG has adopted a shared template to help standardize and simplify the design process across all of our publications.
Working remotely is required, as our designers are now operating across the country. We are no longer in an office, so being a team player is more important than ever as we are looking to expand and raise our level of quality among our publications serviced by our design center.
Our f ull-time designers clock 37.5 hours per week and are expected to work either day or night shifts, along with holidays. APG offers a full range of benefits including health insurance and PTO for full-time employees.
Interested applicants should submit a resume, cover letter and at least 5 examples of page design (front pages, insiders, sports covers, special section, ETC.) to Chris Kerr ( ckerr@dailychronicle.com ).
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.
