Graphics Engineer
Job Description
Kavaliro is in search of a skilled Graphics Programmer for our game studio client who can contribute to the creation of exceptional gaming experiences on various consoles. In this role, you'll be collaborating with game designers and technical artists to brainstorm innovative graphics and visual features, as well as exploring the implementation and integration of visual advancements using Unreal Engine.
Your responsibilities will include driving the features and performance of our multi-platform code on Unreal Engine for PlayStation and Xbox consoles. You'll be delving into intricate rendering systems in both C++ and shader code, utilizing graphics debugging and performance tools like Render Doc and nVidia nSight. A crucial part of your role will be collaborating across disciplines to design and implement new features into the existing graphics pipeline. Strong math skills, particularly in Spherical Harmonics, will be beneficial.
The ideal candidate will have a background in programming for either Xbox or PlayStation, a passion for tackling cutting-edge technical challenges, and the ability to discern between innovative solutions and established practices.

Responsibilities
- Spearhead the development of features and performance for our multi-platform code on Unreal Engine, spanning PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
- Navigate through complex rendering systems in C++ and shader code, understanding their interplay.
- Employ graphics debugging and performance tools such as Render Doc and nVidia nSight effectively.
- Collaborate with team members from diverse disciplines to conceptualize and implement new features into the existing graphics pipeline.
- Apply extensive math skills when needed, particularly in areas like Spherical Harmonics.
- Proven track record of shipped titles on either PlayStation or Xbox.
- Experience with UE4 Rendering Pipeline.
- Strong coding skills in C++ and HLSL.
- Familiarity with intricate GPU particle systems, with experience in UE4's Niagara considered a plus.
- Proficient in multithreaded programming.
- Background in graphics performance optimization and multithreading programming.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience as an Engine or Graphics Programmer.
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine is highly advantageous.
