Job Summary
MICDS is accepting applications for a Head Boys Swimming Coach. Applicants must meet State High School Athletic Association requirements for position and Sports First Aid requirement. The ideal candidate will have prior coaching or playing experience, enthusiasm for leading student athletes, and strong athletic and personal references. Finding a Head Coach who can oversee both the Boys and Girls Swimming Program is preferred, but not required if strong individual candidates are found for each position.
This position is a part-time position that is not benefit eligible. However, the position can be combined with a full-time classroom teaching position--in a subject area that coincides with our current needs--in which case a very competitive and extensive benefit package will be included.
Duties Include
Effectively supervise, design, and help oversee practices.
Foster team growth.
Reinforce program values through modeling and teaching.
Plan, schedule, organize, communicate, and run a regular organized program of practice.
Travel as needed for contests.
Be part of an off-season program
Promote swimming on our campus which may include summer camp opportunities.
