JOB OVERVIEW: This position serves in a leadership function as a driver for marketing strategies and executions around Kering Beaute Fashion Brands (currently Balenciaga and Bottega Veneta). This role is responsible for managing all aspects of Brand Marketing pertaining to product launches, branded collateral, retailer marketing support, and boutique marketing. This role has an intimate understanding of product launch process, promotional calendar management and execution, and luxury department store retail business. This leadership role will also promote and maintain the intrinsic company culture that fosters the firm’s core values.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
LEADERSHIP
Oversees marketing launch strategy for both brands in the NA market
Collaborates with Sales & Finance to build business plan
Partner with Sales to present the brand projects to key retailers and teams
Ideates event initiatives related to brands within scope, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met
Main liaison with overseas brand partners to influence long-term initiatives, and to manage deliverables
Provides P&L input and reacts to results for future programs
Oversees management of budgets for areas of focus
Conducts on-going competitive product, marketing, and event analysis; creates approach for quantitatively and qualitatively evaluating business and initiatives to improve programs and have positive future impact
Coordinate the launch of key doors, analyzes the brand’s strengths and weaknesses, and provides recommendations
Seeks to promote and cultivate the company and brand awareness with external partners
Collaborates with departments providing shared services
This is a new role and will continue to evolve under the direction of the Head of Brand Marketing for Balenciaga and Bottega Veneta
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field required
5+ years Marketing/Applied Marketing/Creative management experience; luxury sector experiences a must; beauty industry-related experience strongly preferred
Knowledge of the US/Canadian/Mexico Beauty market
Experience working with Luxury Department store channels, as well as Masstige Beauty Retailers (i.e., Sephora/Ulta)
Demonstrated ability to launch products and marketing programs from concept to execution
Excellent analytical, negotiation, written, oral and presentation skills
Full understanding of Marketing processes and practices in Department Store & Specialty retail channel
Strong retailer and vendor relationships
Strong collaboration and leadership qualities and ability to manage/motivate direct reports and cross-functional teams
Skilled at successfully organizing, prioritizing and managing multiple projects
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while being adaptable to change
Comfortable working with a small team and willing to take on new challenges/opportunities as they arise
Compensation includes competitive salary ($140K + DOE), subsidized health benefits, generous PTO schedule and 401K plan.
