- Crucial role in managing transition, moving from an AS400 (RPG) based system to a new Java-based ERP platform hosted on a private cloud (Linux). Overseeing the implementation of new systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and implement a technology strategy aligned with the company's business objectives, manage day-to-day IT operations, and ensure robust data security protocols are in place to protect critical data and systems.
- Leading a global IT team of 15, this role requires strong management skills to guide IT Managers, Networking Managers, and contractors effectively. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and technology vendors is essential to drive innovation and maintain access to the latest technologies.
- Vital for aligning IT strategies with business objectives, driving automation to optimize manufacturing, distribution, and back-office operations.
- Responsible for managing the IT department's budget and resources, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, and providing world-class technical support on a large scale.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Deep experience in the manufacturing industry and the technology solutions that support it is highly preferred.
- 10 years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within a $200-$500 million organization. Must be comfortable with hands-on work and leading by example.
- Extensive experience with server, storage, networking, collaboration, security, and telephony infrastructures.
- Proficient in ERP systems, particularly in implementing and enhancing ERP systems.
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering technology solutions that support business growth and drive operational efficiency.
- Experience with vendor negotiations and management.
- Strong understanding of and experience with enhancing security measures to protect IT environments.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including the C-Suite. Ability to manage a diverse team of technical professionals, providing guidance and mentorship.
- Experience with Google Workspace, ADP, leading engineering/programming (particularly in Java, preferred), and networking. Familiarity with transitioning to cloud-based systems and private cloud hosting.
