The Role

In this role you will lead a team of lawyers at the intersection of law, AI, and business. You will apply your years of commercial contracting experience to the development of advanced AI; you will work directly with customers and prospects; you will contribute to product strategy; and you will partner with our AI, sales, and marketing teams. Responsibilities

• Lead a team of lawyers in the creation of legal content that powers our AI – including creating contract review playbooks, model language, practical guidance, and contract templates
• Represent your team’s work in conversation with our customers and prospects: in-house legal teams and law firms
• Shape the product strategy for our internal technology, ensuring your team has the tools to excel and innovate
• Oversee our in-house commercial contracting (we are also a user of our own technology), and contribute to our product strategy based on your experience and customer knowledge
• Work in partnership with our AI, sales, and marketing teams

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in commercial contracting in an in-house context, working with a range of common contracts
• Systems and project thinker who thrives in successfully planning, executing, and managing detailed and complex work
• Demonstrated experience hiring and managing high-performing teams
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and directly with customers and internal stakeholders
• Customer-focused and driven to set a high standard and continuously improve
• You have a bias for action
• Relentlessly resourceful – able to get things done despite constraints, roadblocks, and setbacks
• Strong Preferred: Location in the San Francisco Bay Area or Pacific time zone
• Preferred: Technical experience or experience working with technical/AI teams
