Head of Transportation

We are seeking a seasoned Head of Transportation to lead our North American transportation operations. This role will oversee all modes of transportation—air, sea, and land—across the region, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and innovation. The ideal candidate will bring strategic vision, strong leadership, and deep expertise in transportation management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement transportation strategies across North America that align with JD Logistics’ global objectives.
• Operational Oversight: Manage and optimize transportation operations across all modes (air, sea, land) to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
• Carrier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with carriers, negotiate contracts, and ensure top-tier service levels.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality across the region.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with North American transportation regulations and standards.
• Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing transportation team, driving operational excellence and innovation.
• Budget Management: Oversee the transportation budget, ensuring financial targets are met while maintaining service quality.
• Technology Integration: Utilize advanced logistics technologies to optimize operations and improve decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 10+ years in senior transportation or logistics management, with a focus on large-scale operations in North America.
• Expertise: Strong knowledge of North American transportation regulations and carrier management.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive strategic initiatives.
• Language: Mandarin proficiency is preferred for global communication.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
