Job Description

Collin County is seeking candidates for the position of Health Care Analyst. This position assists in taking accurate and thorough verbal, written, and web based infectious disease reports and in gathering appropriate data pertaining to disease investigations. Helps provide immunizations and administration of prophylactic medications. Coordinates specimen collection, handling and shipping for investigations. Maintains appropriate records/documents, filing and referrals of cases. Assists nursing staff and Health Care Authority as necessary in field investigations consisting of home/hospital visits, routine monitoring and disease surveillance issues. Helps with the planning and coordinating of health care services as needed to ensure and maintain community/public health. Performs related duties as required.


Candidates must have level of education equivalent to four years of high school or equivalency and at least three years of directly related experience in communicable and chronic diseases. A current vocational nursing license or equivalent type certification and CPR license are preferred. Knowledge in HIPAA compliancy, laws and regulations is preferred.


This is a grant position that ends May 2027.
