Job Title: Healthcare Attorney

Pay Rate: $65-$80/hr. DOE

Employment Type: Contract - at least 6 months

Job Description:

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Healthcare Attorney for a 6-month assignment with our client. The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of relevant experience and be able to hit the ground running with minimal training. Hours per week will range from 25 to 40, depending on the workload.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze communication between providers and insurers
• Manage healthcare claims
• Review contract provisions in provider manuals and Summary Plan Descriptions, including reimbursement language, anti-assignment provisions, and administrative records for claims
• Utilize MS Excel to analyze claims detail

Qualifications:

• 4-8 years of experience as a Healthcare Attorney
• Expertise in interpreting reimbursement language, anti-assignment provisions, and medical necessity definitions
• Ability to identify denial categories and underpayments (e.g., medical necessity, DRG downgrades, ED downgrades) and handle appeals
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, including sorting, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP functions
• Familiarity with extrapolation methodologies is preferred
• Active Oregon Bar license required
