Job Description

We currently have a career opportunity for a Healthcare Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team. This is a remote position, however, the successful candidate must live in the United States.

Job Overview:

A Solutions Architect is expected to be knowledgeable in two or more technologies within the cloud and healthcare areas. The Solutions Architect may or may not have a programming background, but will have expert infrastructure architecture, client presales / presentation, team management and thought leadership skills.

You will provide best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; you will assist in defining scope and sizing of work; and anchor Proof of Concept developments. You will provide solution architecture for the business problem, platform integration with third party services, designing and developing complex features for clients' business needs.

You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high quality solutions, participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs. You will also contribute in a variety of roles in thought leadership, mentorship, systems analysis, architecture, design, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation. You will challenge your leading edge solutions, consultative and business skills through the diversity of work in multiple industry domains.

This role is considered part of the Business Unit Senior Leadership team and may mentor delivery team members.

Responsibilities

  • Architectural Design and Consulting: Collaborate with our clients to understand their business requirements, analyze their existing systems, and design innovative microservices architectures that align with their strategic objectives. Provide expert consulting services to guide them through the process of modernizing their software infrastructure.
  • Requirements Analysis and Domain-Driven Design: Conduct thorough requirements analysis workshops, applying Domain-Driven Design principles to identify key business domains and design microservices that capture their essence. Help clients adopt a domain-centric approach, promoting clarity and alignment between business and technical teams.
  • Clean Code Development and Best Practices: Lead our clients' development teams by advocating Clean Code practices, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, maintainable, and extensible codebases. Mentor and coach developers in applying industry best practices, coding standards, and design patterns to optimize software quality and team productivity.
  • Technology Evaluation and Solution Selection: Conduct in-depth technology assessments and evaluations to identify the most suitable technologies, frameworks, and tools for our clients' microservices implementations. Guide clients in selecting the right technology stack that aligns with their requirements, scalability needs, and long-term goals.
  • System Integration and Scalability: Design robust integration patterns and scalable architectures for microservices ecosystems, leveraging event-driven architectures, message brokers, and API gateways. Define strategies for horizontal scaling, fault tolerance, and performance optimization to ensure highly available and efficient systems.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate closely with our clients' teams, project managers, and stakeholders to provide technical leadership, resolve architectural challenges, and foster successful project delivery. Communicate complex technical concepts effectively and inspire teams through your expertise and thought leadership.
  • Industry Trends and Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and advancements in microservices, DDD, and Clean Code practices. Identify opportunities for innovation, process improvements, and propose novel solutions that drive tangible business value for our clients.

Qualifications

  • Passionate technology specialist with 15+ years of application development experience.
  • You are a Java expert, with experience and familiarity building modern applications, microservices with Spring Boot; you have a strong background with Spring and related frameworks and projects.
  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect, specializing in microservices architecture, with a strong emphasis on DDD and Clean Code.
  • Solid understanding and practical application of DDD principles, such as bounded contexts, aggregates, and domain events.
  • Extensive knowledge of Clean Code practices and the ability to promote and enforce them within development teams.
  • Strong expertise in microservices design patterns, RESTful APIs, and web services.
  • Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and familiarity with serverless computing.
  • Knowledge of message brokers, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous communication.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering or comparable major.
  • Strong consulting and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with various organizations in pursuit of problem solutions.
  • Must be open to travel (up to 25%)

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $81,978.00 to $178,090.00. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
