The Hospital Director of Pharmacy, Inpatient will lead and oversee the pharmacy services and operations within the medical center. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients, compliance with all relevant regulations, and the continuous improvement of pharmacy operations. The Director of Pharmacy will work closely with healthcare providers, administration, and the pharmacy team to optimize patient outcomes and support the hospital’s mission and goals.
This leader will join an acute care facility in northwest Illinois noted for its high quality patient care, safety and satisfaction. The facility offers a range of services including, cancer care, behavioral health, surgical services, imaging, women’s health and emergency services.
The Hospital Director of Pharmacy, Inpatient is responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership for the pharmacy department. This leader will play a key role in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards for pharmacy services as well as manage the department’s budget, resources, and inventory.
The Hospital Director of Pharmacy, Inpatient will be supported by a team of pharmacists, techs, an Assistant Director of Pharmacy as well as other support personnel. Ensure the accurate and timely dispensing of medications to patients. Oversee clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management and patient counseling as well as collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize medication use and improve patient outcomes.
