Racine Country Club is seeking a Host to join our professional hospitality team. Qualified individuals will be friendly, responsible, motivated, and enthusiastic about providing an exceptional dining experience for club members. This is a part-time position with late afternoon/evening hours on Tuesday through Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Greets members and guest by last name in a polite and friendly manner
• Provides schedule and other Club information to members and guests
• Manages the reservations and seating for the club’s restaurants
• Directs and assists members and guests in locating daily private functions/events
• Manages the telephone communication to and from the desk
• Greets and seats guests, handles reservations, and prepares and maintains a waiting list during peak periods
• Answers the telephone, transfers calls to proper extensions; takes messages for members and staff
• Process food take-out orders correctly and efficiently
• Works on special assignments as assigned
• Control traffic flow in lobby area and hallway
• Maintain appearance of reception area
• Other duties as needed (we value teamwork)
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a hospitality or food service environment is preferred
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the dining area
• Understands and can communicate with staff, members, and guest in a professional & warm manner.
• Have an ambition to learn, a sense of urgency, and an emphasis on providing exceptional customer service. Seeking candidates that have a true passion for serving customers and exceeding their expectations
• Ability to prioritize duties and be proficient in accomplishing multiple tasks simultaneously with a good sense of timing
• Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to walk and stand during entire shift
• Ability to reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and wipe
• Ability to remain stationary for long periods of time
