Scope of Job: The Human Resources Generalist several critical human resources functions and workforce management, including recruiting, employee/labor relations, health and safety, compensation, benefits, training, diversity, employee engagement, leave and attendance tracking, payroll, and employee records. Facilitates and communicates organizational policies and programs and ensures labor law and regulatory compliance. Provides internal support and partnership to business lines to deliver required human resources. May evaluate, select, and oversee vendors that provide supplemental HR processes and services. Coordinates with HR support staff to process and maintain employment, attendance, and other records. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Facilitate, implement, and communicate organizational policies and programs and ensure labor law and regulatory compliance.
Evaluate, select, and oversee vendors that provide supplemental HR processes and services.
Coordinate with HR support staff to process and maintain employment, attendance, and other records.
Develop strong relationships and collaborate with hiring managers and plant leadership.
Work closely with safety and plant leadership on safety initiatives, and support worker's compensation matters.
Use process and procedures to serve the plant effectively and efficiently related to human resources responsibilities.
Prepare for and assist with onboarding and training, including employment verification and authorization.
Track and report key metrics and ensure data entry is completed for various HRIS systems.
Participate in audits to ensure data integrity of employment records and compliance, including but not limited to employment authorization, Affirmative Action, EEOC, and Quality procedures.
Initiate and participate in employee engagement activities.
Lead and participate in employee relations, including investigations, complaints, corrective actions or other discipline, and employment decisions.
Manage, resolve, and properly document personnel matters in an equitable, consistent, and productive manner, with all requirements of applicable law.
Maintains knowledge of applicable HR law and regulations and working knowledge of human resources best practices.
Collaborate with production and supporting departments to ensure the food safety and quality of our products.
