HSE Coordinator I

Duties & Responsibilities

‐ Implement and monitor the HSE programs for the assigned region within Scout

‐ Provide HSE training to employees at their assigned field locations

‐ Inspect facilities, equipment and trucks ensuring regulatory compliance is met and make recommendations for changes as needed

‐ Work with employees and operations team to ensure safe working conditions by supplying the correct personal protective equipment and analyzing hazards on the job site

‐ Ensure that all federal, state and local regulations such as DOT, OSHA and environmental matters as well as company policies and procedures are observed and followed

‐ Conduct incident investigations to identify workplace hazards and implements procedures to ensure a safe workplace in coordination with the other HSE personnel

‐ Perform additional related duties within the scope of the position, as required

‐ Communicate the necessary skills to effectively work with all levels of employees

‐ Conduct worksite investigations and recordkeeping

‐ Maintain good housekeeping in all areas of responsibility

‐ Perform other various tasks as assigned by the Superintendent

Skills & Specifications

‐ Ability to work with a diverse team

‐ Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes and regulations related to all HSE functions including but not limited to Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Transportation of the assigned region

‐ Comfortable with public speaking and training

‐ Able to travel, as needed

‐ Possess basic computer skills; data entry into various electronic databases

‐ Able to work safely and adhere to all company guidelines, policies, and procedures

‐ Has integrity, good communication skills, and a positive attitude

‐ Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and managerial skills

‐ Detail oriented and enjoy a fast paced, multi‐tasking, customer service minded environment

Education & Qualifications

‐ Minimum of 3 years of relevant safety experience, preferably in the oil and gas or transportation industry

‐ Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

‐ Legally authorized to work in the United States

‐ Able to pass a pre‐employment drug and background check

‐ Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited, state‐certified program

‐ Certifications from trade schools and/or professional organizations are preferred
