Job Title: HSE Officer Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated HSE Officer to oversee and manage activities related to Projects, Maintenance, and Operations at our fuel terminal. The primary goal is to ensure compliance with Safety, Health, Environment, Efficiency, and Reliability standards and best practices. The HSE Officer will be instrumental in building a strong culture of HSE within the facility.
Key Responsibilities: Supervise and manage assigned project activities to ensure they are incident-free. Foster a culture of prevention in all supervised and participated-in activities. Validate and lead pre-start meetings for relevant activities. Serve as a resource for Safety, Health, and Environmental matters related to assigned activities. Train and supervise personnel on HSE topics as needed. Ensure project and activity management aligns with the organization’s management system tools. Prepare and document regular reports on activity management. Develop and implement tools established by the organization with terminal personnel, including direct employees and contractors. Participate in hazard identification and risk assessment for supervised activities. Conduct periodic inspections related to HSE in supervised activities. Track work hours for contractors and third parties. Participate in investigations related to tools developed at the terminal. Manage the execution of emergency plans for high-risk activities and routine tasks. Exercise “Stop Work Authority” when unsafe acts or conditions are identified. Complete daily, monthly, and quarterly inspections for safety and security assets. Participate in daily meetings with stakeholders from Operations, Maintenance, Customer Service, and Projects. Education and Experience: Degree or technical certification in Industrial Safety and Occupational Health, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related fields (Preferred). Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of Safety, Health, and Environment, preferably in the oil and gas industry. Knowledge and Skills: Training in Industrial Safety, Health, and Environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to contribute to effective execution in assigned activities. Strong organizational skills. Proficiency with computers and other relevant technologies. Initiative and passion for HSE work. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
