Position Overview
This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Midland-Odessa Area. As an HSE Specialist, you partner with the various operation business units to support all health, safety and environmental efforts. This is accomplished by conducting field assessments, site visits, training, emergency response and incident investigations.

Position Overview
This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Midland-Odessa Area. As an HSE Specialist, you partner with the various operation business units to support all health, safety and environmental efforts. This is accomplished by conducting field assessments, site visits, training, emergency response and incident investigations.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular HSE assessments with the capability to track the progress of open action items through the EHS Database, KPA and assist where possible.
- Establish and maintain open lines of communications with field level and supervisor level employees to provide coaching and training for safe work habits and compliance with AWS best practices and policies.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations using the 5 Why or Tap Root Method
- Provide case management support for employees and provide necessary information for insurance claims
- Provide onsite support by conducting routine site visits, incident investigations, client meetings, training and any other support identified by the HSE Manager
- Ensure timely documentation of all necessary trainings, certifications, and/or inspections are kept up to date within KPA
- Prepares, submits, and conduct follow-up lessons learned and safety alerts to HSE Management
- Respond to emergencies in the field as necessary and during 24 rotational on-call schedule
- Other duties assigned by HSE Manager
- 2-4 years of related HSE experience, required
- Bilingual, in Spanish and English, required
- Accident/incident investigation experience, required
- Knowledge of worker compensation claims process, preferred
- Relevant experience and/or certification in RCA method such as Tap Root or 5 Why, preferred
- Experience in KPA and similar HSE management applications, preferred
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies (OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.)
- OSHA 10 and OSHA certifications, or able to obtain within 90 days of employment
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of HSE technology and equipment
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Experience presenting HSE training programs
- Ability to pass MVR
- Reside locally to Midland/Odessa
- Ability to clear/pass pre-employment screening, testing and job-relevant hiring requirements
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States, as required by law
- Able to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on routine basis
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and color vision
- Able to deal with wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat/cold
- Work environment may include moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, airborne particles and moderate to loud noise, requiring consistent use of appropriate PPE
- This position requires a flexible schedule and ability to work outside of normal work week and hours due to the 24-hour operations supported
