Job Summary:
The Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center (HTC) is a specialized disease management center for children and adults within the School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics. It provides direct comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services to over 2000 adults and children with rare bleeding and clotting disorders throughout a multiple-state region. The Center is comprised of clinic services, pharmacy services, research laboratory services, clinical research services, professional training, patient education, and patient support programs. We are comprised of a staff of over 60 professionals.
HTC Manager is a senior leader responsible for overseeing the operations of the entire Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center Program. To do this they must manage the strategic planning efforts and implement tactical plans to advance the clinical, research, public health, educational, financial, pharmacy, advocacy, service, and quality objectives for the Hemophilia program. They create and manage policies, procedures, and programs valued within the organization. They see all aspects of HTC and take this informed view to seize opportunities and mitigate risk through strong consensus building and leadership at every level of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the center’s overall relationship with the CDC, MCHB, ATHN, or MSHN to maintain the center’s status as a federally qualified hemophilia program and a leading national center for the care of patients with and study of bleeding and clotting disorders.
- Write and submit program grants to all agencies promptly including budget development and required progress reports.
- Manage the development, implementation, and analysis of quality improvement projects that fulfill the program grants and/or collaborative agreements and the center’s mission.
Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, higher education administration, health resource management, healthcare administration, social sciences, behavioral sciences, or a directly related field from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2-5 years previous experience in managing projects and personnel within health care services
Condition of Employment:
- Must successfully pass a drug test through Children’s Hospital Colorado.
- Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check.
- Travel is/will be required.

- Master’s degree in public health, healthcare administration, business, nursing, or other related business or healthcare degree.
- Clinical experience with bleeding and clotting disorders patients.
- Previous experience working in an HTC, or specialized care center.
- Experience with non-profit organizations, volunteer experience accepted.
- Experience working in an institution of higher education, preferably a medical/graduate school on a health sciences campus.
- Experience with healthcare reimbursement environments.
- Human asset management.
- Certification in Quality, Safety, and Process Improvement.
- Previous health information technology management experience, including data extraction and analysis functions.
- Previous experience with grants and creating and managing budgets.
- Previous experience in policy and personnel management.
- Quality, Safety, and Process Improvement certification and/or experience.
- Effective leadership and strategic development, management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent and effective oral, written, and electronic communication.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply accepted theories and practices of general management and administration.
- Ability to evaluate, analyze, and interpret data with recommended solutions to implement problem-solving skills is highly valued.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and section and campus leadership.
- Excellent organizational skills including the ability to manage and prioritize projects for self and team members.
- Advanced skills in the use of computer programs—Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote, Teams, PowerPoint, Adobe suite
- Capacity for flexibility, adaptability, and creativity in different work situations
- Ability to operate in a culture of ambiguity and make appropriate interpretations on behalf of the program.
- Demonstrated professionalism, a strong work ethic and a commitment to high standards, integrity and discriminating judgment, and willingness to take personal responsibility.
- Commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The hiring range for this position has been established as $73,491 to $93,481.
The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
