Summary

Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Human Resources Assistant plays a critical role in ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding and offboarding process for team members, while also providing general administrative support to the Human Resources department.

This position is full-time from Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm. Based out of our headquarters located in Broomall, PA, this is a hybrid position (3 days remote and 2 days on-site, however it is open to 5 days on-site if desired).

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including collecting and processing new hire paperwork and conducting orientation sessions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new team members, answering questions and providing assistance throughout the onboarding process.
  • Conduct background verifications for new hires as required.
  • Maintain accurate team member records/files and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS, including reporting structure and other employment-related history.
  • Conduct personnel file audits on a regular and/or quarterly basis, or as requested.
  • Coordinate the offboarding process for departing team members.
  • Review and respond to general unemployment agency inquiries and verification of employment requests, escalating questions as necessary.
  • Process job changes or manager changes within the HRIS system.
  • Monitor HR Mailbox and manage HR-related inquiries from team members, ensuring inquiries are distributed to the appropriate Human Resources team member for accurate responses.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement activities, and policy updates.
  • Handle other administrative tasks for HR department such as ordering flowers for team member acknowledgments or other special occasions, etc.

Education And/Or Experience

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of Human Resources or related administrative experience.
  • Associates degree is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills And Competentcies

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee relations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS software.
  • Possess a positive attitude with a customer service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Experience working with a diverse workforce.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position is hybrid position. When on-site, a traditional office environment with low-to-moderate office noise (computers, phones, and business conversations). When working remotely, to be successful in this role, an individual will need to have high speed internet. This individual will also need to have the ability to establish a quiet workspace that is distraction-free, and conducive to continuous work and will provide for confidentiality.

The compensation offered for this position starts at $18.00+ per hour. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
