Role Overview
SK Capital is seeking a highly qualified HR Associate with at least 2 years of experience to support our Chief Human Resources Officer. The Associate will support our human resources function across our internal operations and support various HR initiatives, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, and HR operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career HR professional to gain exposure to private equity while developing a broad skill set in human resources management. This role will be based in New York and requires at least 3 days in the office per week.
Primary Role Responsibilities
Assist in full-cycle recruitment processes for portfolio companies and internal positions, including job posting, resume screening, and interview coordination
Support the onboarding process for new hires across the firm and portfolio companies
Maintain and update HR information systems and employee records
Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
Support performance management processes, including annual reviews and goal-setting
Assist in coordinating training and development programs for employees
Provide general HR support to employees and managers, addressing queries and concerns
Support the preparation of HR-related reports and analytics
Collaborate with senior HR team members on special projects and initiatives
Experience & Expertise
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
2 years of HR experience, preferably in a fast-paced, professional services environment
Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HRIS systems is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Adaptability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
General understanding of the finance industry preferred.
The base salary range for this position at the time of posting is $75-85k. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus.
