Role Purpose

As an HR intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and insight into various aspects of human resources in every aspect of HR management including, but not limited to talent acquisition, organizational development, performance management, employee relations, employee investigations, and compensation and benefits . This internship offers hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, allowing you to develop essential skills and knowledge in HR practices.

A high level of confidentiality and responsibility is associated with this role. This person should be able to multitask, work with shifting priorities and be able to identify and escalate issues when appropriate.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Support assigned HR initiatives, which vary in terms of scope and scale such as conducting research on industry best practices or assisting with HR analytics and reporting.
  • Support the onboarding process for new hires by preparing paperwork and facilitating orientation sessions
  • Help address employee inquiries and concerns, escalating issues to HR managers as needed
  • Support the implementation of employee development plans and performance management processes
  • Assist in updating HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on initiatives aimed at improving HR processes and systems
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, including organizing team-building activities and events
  • Adhering to the Chain IQ corporate standards, including using the defined HR tools and processes

Requirements

  • 80% completion of bachelor’s degree requirements in a relevant business discipline
  • Prior internship or work experience in HR or related field a plus
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organization abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, often to tight deadlines, and deliver results
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Team player, motivated and highly flexible
  • Commitment and desire to succeed
