We are looking for a Human Resources Intern to join the Human Resources Department at Idaho Housing and Finance Association!

This role offers exposure to daily HR operations with main focus on recruiting, direct interaction with employees, and participation in HR-related meetings and activities. This internship aims to enhance your knowledge of HR functions and foster skill development in interpersonal communication and our HRIS system.

This internship can choose to work between 10-25 hours a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn about talent acquisition processes, including resume reviewing, screening interviews, and reference checks.
  • Assist in the recruiting of candidates and help facilitate a smooth hiring process.
  • Support database management related to talent acquisition.
  • Gain exposure to daily operations of the HR department and functioning HR processes.
  • Interact directly with frontline employees to understand and address HR-related concerns.
  • Participate in HR-related meetings, discussions, and activities.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Business, Social Sciences, Psychology, or Human Resources preferred.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
