Part-time Human Resources Internship

Keches Law Group is a fast growing injury law firm with three primary offices: Boston/Milton, Bridgewater and Worcester. The firm was founded in 1986 and grew to be over 150 employees as it is today. We pride ourselves on our commitment to our clients and fighting for those who have been wronged or injured.

We are looking for an HR Intern to support and learn from our HR Team. While supporting the team the HR Intern will have the opportunity to learn about various HR disciplines including Recruiting, Hiring & On-Boarding, Training & Development, Benefits & Leave, Employment Law, and Employee Relations. The HR intern will perform various administrative tasks and support our HR department’s daily activities.

HR Intern responsibilities include updating our employee records with new hire information, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, taking notes during employee relations meetings, assisting with benefits documentation, and assisting with onboarding and trainings. Candidate must be available for a minimum of 15 hours per week. Office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5pm.

Responsibilities

Update our internal databases with new and current employee information, including contact details and employment forms

Assist with the on-boarding of new employees

Shadow employee relations and exit interview meetings

Screen resumes and application forms

Schedule and confirm interviews with candidates

Post, update and remove job ads from job boards, careers pages and social networks

Assist in the development of employee trainings

Prepare HR-related reports as needed

Learn to address employee queries about benefits (like number of remaining vacation days)

Participate in organizing company events and careers days

Learn and understand employer requirements related to occupational safety and health, Anti-discrimination law, National Labor Relations Act labor legislation, and equality of opportunity

Assist in updating current policies and procedures to match the firm’s growth

Requirements

Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in HR Management or similar field.

Experience working in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking, and delivering deadlines.

Ability to work independently.

Should be skilled with software systems, such as MS Office.

Strong work ethic.

Ability to maintain the confidentiality of data and act with integrity.
