Hazen and Sawyer is seeking an enthusiastic engineer with academic or professional background in hydraulic modeling related to wastewater conveyance and/or water distribution systems to support our Conveyance Practice Group.
Candidate should have knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic principles and analyses, experience with management and analysis of flow monitoring data, and using ArcGIS. Ideal candidate will have experience or strong desire to learn hydraulic modeling including using InfoWorks, PCSWMM, EPA SWMM, InfoSWMM, InfoWater, InfoWork WS, WaterGems and/or EPANET.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include working on planning and design projects within the Conveyance Practice Group.
Hydraulic modeling will include wastewater collection system, water distribution, and stormwater model evaluations, investigations, planning, master plans.
Integrating with design team from initial studies and conceptual design through construction of pipelines, pump stations, storage facilities, and/or treatment facilities.
Field investigations and site visits from design through construction.
Minimum Qualifications
EIT
0 to 5 years of experience
Working knowledge of hydraulic modeling software, could include: InfoWorks, PCSWMM, EPA SWMM, InfoSWMM, InfoWater, InfoWork WS, WaterGems and/or EPANET.
Candidate must possess strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Must be proficient in all computer software typically used (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
GIS, CADD and other software skills are a plus.
Educational Requirements
B.S. degree in civil, environmental, mechanical or chemical engineering from an ABET accredited university (MS or ME preferred)
