Job Description

• Experience with IBM Sterling Connect: Direct, demonstrating a strong understanding of its Configuration and Support.
• Expert-level knowledge of Sterling File Gateway/Proxy/Direct Connect products is the core requirement for this role.
• IBM Connect: Direct process creation and support experience.
• Experience working with IBM Secure File Gateway.
• Experience with IBM Sterling Secure Proxy application.
• Experience with Sterling Control Centre/XMS web application.
• Experience with configuring Net mapping tool, Configure Connect: Direct Requestor, File Agent, Proxies, Functional Authorities, and Secure Plus.
• Strong Knowledge and understanding of various File Transfer Protocols.
• ETL and Java programming skills.
• Resolving various Certificate challenges (requesting, preparing, import trusted/key certificates and applying).
• Support and maintain existing over 60+ applications.
• Resolve incident tickets related to application issues.
• Perform application deployments.
• Develop and enhance applications as needed.
• Ability to lead during times of ambiguity and change.
• Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and implement change.
• Experience in problem analysis, solution implementation, and change management.
• Solid grasp of Linux-UNIX and Windows operating systems, administration activities, and networking concepts
• Prefer experience with CyberArk and CyberArk Application Access Manager (AAM).
  
  

Responsibilities

• Configure and provide support for IBM Connect: Direct(CD), File Agent, Control Centre/XMS, Web Services, and Secure Plus Configurations, ensuring seamless and secure file transfers.
• Must be able to configure Connect Direct on its own.
• Administering Connect Direct as a standalone platform.
• Manage various File Transfers based on the requirement specifications like Point-to-point(P2P), File Transfer Protocol (FTP).
• Working with Dev teams and customers to set up Managed File Transfers between endpoints using Connect: Direct.
• Setting up new configurations.
• Validating configurations/changes.
• Troubleshooting end map configurations.
• Helping consumers replay file transfer policies.
• Set up new nodes for transfers to external customers.
• Understand the initialization parameters of Connect Direct.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Collaborate within an IBM Control Centre to monitor and remotely manage Connect: Direct operations.
• Perform basic Linux UNIX shell scripting to optimize processes and workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IBM Connect: Direct and file transfer processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful data transfers and system integration.
• Maintain documentation for configurations, scripts, and processes for future reference.
• Provide expertise and guidance to team members on IBM Connect: Direct and related technologies.
• Exercise considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives.
• Participate in on-call rotation and support activities in a Production Support environment.
• Troubleshoot Business Process failures, and connectivity issues.
