InDesign Compositor

Adecco Creative and Marketing has partnered with a renowned educational company to hire a compositor for books.

This is a part time, 21 hours/week position in NYC. You must work 9-5 on these days. The role pays $30-$35/hr.

Responsibilities:

• InDesign template creation based on design specifications
• Flow manuscript into InDesign templates based on design specifications
• Input corrections into existing InDesign files File organization, retrieval, and research within WoodWing Enterprise, File Servers, and Content Management Systems QC and preflight files to ensure compliance with file naming protocols, folder structures, printer specs, font standards, and stylesheets
• Maintain digital archives of completed products, as assigned
• Thorough understanding of principles of print and digital file creation based on design specifications

Qualifications:

• Relevant work experience
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, balancing the needs of multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Expert with Mac OS, Adobe InDesign CC, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and the Microsoft Office suite of apps.
• Proficient with WoodWing Enterprise, DITA XML, AppleScript, JavaScript
