Job Description:

As an Experienced Industrial Engineer at Unis, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and improving our warehouse operations, transportation processes, and small parcel delivery systems. Your role will involve working closely with various departments to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve overall service quality.

Key Responsibilities: (1 or more of these areas):

Warehouse Optimization:

• Analyze and redesign warehouse layouts to improve space utilization and workflow efficiency.
• Implement and monitor inventory management systems to reduce errors and enhance accuracy.
• Develop and deploy best practices for warehousing operations, including picking, packing, and shipping processes.

Transportation Efficiency:

• Evaluate and optimize transportation routes and methods to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
• Analyze transportation data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with transportation providers to ensure service quality and compliance with contractual agreements.

Small Parcel Delivery:

• Design and implement processes for efficient small parcel delivery, including sorting, handling, and tracking.
• Develop strategies to handle peak periods and ensure timely delivery of parcels.
• Utilize technology and data analysis to optimize delivery routes and reduce delivery times.

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements across warehouse, transportation, and delivery operations.
• Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct regular audits and performance evaluations to ensure adherence to best practices.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, logistics, and IT, to align strategies and achieve operational goals.
• Provide training and support to staff on new processes and systems.
• Prepare and present reports on performance metrics, process improvements, and project outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Experience with new start-up warehouses and warehouse layouts
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s degree or relevant certification preferred).
• Proven experience as an Industrial Engineer in a 3PL environment, with a focus on warehouse, transportation, and small parcel delivery.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in data analysis, statistical tools, and engineering software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
